“RAVI, I want to talk with you”shouted Meena giving a sharp look.
“Okay, I would freshen up myself first and we can talk for hours” retorted Ravi.
This sort of conversation took place often of late. Both Ravi and Meena were husband and wife and they got married very recently. It was a love marriage and they seemed to be the MADE FOR EACH OTHER couple. Ravi was working in an MNC and Meena was an officer in a private bank.
All along everything was going on well and all on a sudden a seed of suspicion was planted in the mind of Meena. The sudden change in the behavior of Ravi was the reason for it. It was the usual practice of Ravi to go to his office by his TVS Victor and very rarely he took their SUV if he had to go to a distant place for meeting the clients etc. Of late Meena observed he went by SUV and returned late. When he came back he would go to freshen up himself. Also, she found oily patches on his shirt and pant which he would keep in the bucket after using the brush to clear the oily residues.
This lead to a doubt in the mind of Meena.
When Meena asked about his late coming Ravi won’t give a direct answer. From his words, she would find out he was lying. This paved way for some misunderstanding and communication gap
Whenever he took the SUV key she understood he would come late and she was sure he was cheating on her by giving false excuses and imagined a lot.
Meena felt perplexed and tried to find out the truth. In the meantime Ravi was also undergoing a period of anxiety as he could not tell Meena the actual truth.
One day Meena’s friend Kavitha called her.
“Hello Meena, How are you?” asked Kavitha
“HI, Kavi Ok di “replied Meena.
“Meena you sound no nice. What is the problem? I want to tell you something about your hubby”. She started to utter a new information.
“ I have seen your SUV and your hubby is on the wheel. What is the business he has got in our area.?”
The small information gave a sigh of relief to Meena and hoped that with the help of Kavitha she could solve her problem. Actually Kavitha was living in another city some 40Kms from their city.
“Kavi I don’t know about his trips to your area and he is not telling the truth. I doubt him. I wish you help me to find it.” lamented Meena.
“Sure that is what for we are friends.”She consoled her.
Meena switched off the mobile and sat closing her eyes. Her memories took her to the past.
When Meena met Ravi in the college in the same class MBA she got a crush on him at the first sight.
Ravi also fell for her as she was very charming and beautiful. The love blossomed and they decided to marry.
In the meantime, Meena’s parents chose a boy belonging to their rich circle for Meena and they began to arrange things for their marriage. When Meena told about her love for Ravi their dreams were shattered. Meena was so stubborn and after a lot of argument and quarrel she married Ravi and said a big goodbye to her parents.
Suddenly it occurred to her their parents were staying in the same city where Kavitha was living. Ravi’s odd behavior and late coming should have got some association with her parents she thought.
Next day Ravi took the SUV key and Meena decided to follow him and find out the truth. She took a call taxi and went to Kavitha’s house.Already Kavitha saw Ravi entring into Meena’s parents’ house. So they went there. When she peeked into the house Meena got shocked as Ravi was giving oil massage to her father who seemed to be affected by a paralytic attack and his limbs were lifeless. Tears welled in her eyes.
A loss in his business affected her father and resulted in leaving him bedridden and paralyzed. Ravi who was in touch with Kavitha came to know about this and he decided he should help them at this crucial juncture . He was not sure of Meena’s reaction and hence he didn’t tell the truth.
Meena hugged her mother and wept. She realized her mistake and begged her to forgive her. She said sorry to Ravi as she doubted him. She thanked kavitha . Later on united they lived happily.
